DAY 1 Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park Day Safari

Your safari begins with a warm pickup from your hotel, lodge, residence, or airport in Arusha, where you will meet your professional BMC TOURS & SAFARIS guide. After a short scenic drive, you will arrive at Arusha National Park, a beautiful park located at the base of Mount Meru and known for its diverse landscapes and peaceful environment.

After arrival at the park, you will start with a guided nature walking safari inside the park, accompanied by an armed ranger. This unique experience allows you to explore the natural surroundings on foot, observe wildlife tracks, plants, and smaller animals, and enjoy a closer connection with nature in a safe and informative way.

Following the walking safari, you will continue with a guided game drive through forests, open plains, and scenic lake areas, where you may see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, baboons, and various antelope species. The park is also rich in birdlife, including flamingos and many colourful birds, with clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro on a good day.

You will then enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at the Momella safari picnic area near the beautiful Momella Lakes, surrounded by stunning scenery and seasonal flamingos. After lunch, you will continue with a short game drive around the Momella Lakes, offering excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing.

Later, you will proceed with a scenic drive past Ngurdoto Crater, often called the “Little Ngorongoro,” before beginning your comfortable drive back to Arusha.
