Which national parks can we realistically visit on a 2-day safari?
For a short 2-day itinerary, we strongly recommend focusing on the closer national parks in the Northern Circuit to minimize travel time and maximize game viewing. The best combinations include Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater. A classic and highly popular route is Day 1: Tarangire (famous for its ancient baobabs and giant elephant herds) and Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater (a self-contained haven containing the highest density of wildlife in Africa). Visiting the Serengeti is not recommended on a 2-day driving safari due to the long transit distance from Arusha.
