DAY 1 Arrival – Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi

Airport pickup and transfer to Moshi hotel

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide holding a personalized sign. You will then be transferred to your Hotel in Moshi for relaxation after your journey. At the hotel, you will enjoy a delicious meal and settle into the peaceful surroundings featuring gardens, a swimming pool, and a restaurant. Later in the evening, your mountain guide will conduct a detailed pre-trek briefing covering route overview, safety procedures, and equipment checks. This is your chance to prepare mentally and physically for the adventure ahead while enjoying comfort before heading to the mountain.

DAY 2 Moshi – Lemosho Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp

Lemosho Gate registration and rainforest hike to Mti Mkubwa Camp

After breakfast and briefing, you drive to Lemosho Gate for registration before beginning your trek. The trail passes through dense rainforest filled with ancient trees, birds, and wildlife sounds. The path is scenic and peaceful, gradually ascending through lush vegetation. Your porters set up camp upon arrival while the chef prepares a hot meal. In the evening, you relax at camp and receive a briefing for the next day’s trek. DAY 3 Mti Mkubwa – Shira 2 Camp

DAY 4 Shira 2 Camp – Moir Hut

Trek across Shira Ridge to remote Moir Hut beneath Lent Hills

After breakfast, you trek eastward across the Shira Ridge into a quieter section of the mountain. The landscape becomes more rugged and alpine, with wide-open views and dramatic volcanic formations. The route is less crowded, offering a sense of wilderness and isolation. You gradually ascend to Moir Hut, located beneath the Lent Hills, an excellent acclimatization area. DAY 5 Moir Hut – Pofu Camp

After breakfast, you continue across valleys and ridges, descending slightly into a mix of alpine desert and moorland zones. After breakfast, you cross the vast “Saddle,” a lunar-like desert between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. The landscape is barren yet striking, with Kilimanjaro’s summit looming ahead. The trail is steady but demanding due to altitude and exposure. You gradually ascend toward Kibo Hut, your final base before summit night. Upon arrival, you rest, hydrate, and prepare gear. An early dinner is served, followed by a detailed briefing from your guide for the midnight summit attempt. Rest is essential before the most challenging part of your journey begins.

DAY 9 Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Millennium Camp (Summit Day)

From here, you continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. At the summit sign, you take unforgettable photos and celebrate your success with your team. After a short rest, you begin the descent back to Kibo Hut for refreshment before continuing down to Millennium Camp for overnight recovery.

DAY 10 Millennium Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi

Rainforest descent to Mweka Gate for summit certificate and transfer to Moshi

After breakfast, you descend through lush rainforest toward Mweka Gate. The air becomes warmer and richer in oxygen as you approach lower altitude. At the gate, you receive your summit certificate and celebrate with your mountain team. After formalities, you are transferred back to your hotel in Moshi for relaxation. In the afternoon, you may meet safari coordinators if extending your journey. The evening is spent resting and celebrating your achievement.

DAY 11 Departure
