After breakfast, you meet your local Chagga guide and begin your cultural immersion. A short drive brings you to Materuni Village, nestled on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. You embark on a guided hike through lush banana and coffee plantations, descending into a verdant gorge toward the spectacular Materuni Waterfall. The trail offers breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro on clear days, with the sounds of birds and flowing water accompanying you. Upon reaching the waterfall, you can feel the mist on your skin and even take a refreshing swim in the pool at its base. After soaking in the beauty, you return to the village where a delicious traditional lunch awaits, prepared by your hosts using fresh local ingredients. Following lunch, you participate in a traditional coffee making experience. Your hosts guide you through each step from roasting the beans over an open fire to grinding and brewing while sharing stories of Chagga culture and traditions. Day 3 Kilimanjaro Region to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you depart the Kilimanjaro region and journey toward Tarangire National Park. The scenic drive takes you through changing landscapes, from lush highlands to open savannah, with Mount Kilimanjaro gradually fading in the distance. Upon arrival, you begin game drives in one of Tanzania's most underrated parks. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds, some numbering in the hundreds, gathering along the life giving Tarangire River. Ancient baobab trees dot the landscape like silent sentinels, their massive forms silhouetted against the sky. Your guide shares insights about animal behaviors as you spot lions resting in the shade, giraffes browsing acacia trees, zebras grazing, and over 500 bird species.
