Begin in Tarangire National Park, where ancient baobabs frame massive elephant herds gathering along the river. Then journey into the Central Serengeti, the wildlife rich heart of the ecosystem, where the Great Migration's vanguard gathers before pushing north. From the Seronera Valley's year round predators to the dramatic river crossings of the northern corridor, this compact safari delivers the migration's raw energy. With expert BMC TOURS & SAFARIS guides and a return flight from the Serengeti, you maximize every moment in the wild.
Your migration season safari begins with a morning pickup from your Arusha hotel by your BMC TOURS & SAFARIS guide. Drive to Tarangire National Park, a landscape dominated by ancient baobab trees and the life giving Tarangire River. During the dry season (July to October), this park hosts some of Africa's largest elephant herds, numbering in the hundreds, gathering along the riverbanks. Enjoy a half-day game drive through acacia woodlands and open savannahs, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and over 500 bird species. A picnic lunch is served overlooking the river, where elephants drink and play. In the late afternoon, exit the park and transfer to your comfortable lodge.
