Arrival and Migration Focus on Pregnant Herds in Southern Plains
Your safari begins with a scenic flight from Arusha or arrival via Kilimanjaro International Airport into the Serengeti ecosystem. Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip, meet your guide and begin a game drive heading toward the southern short grass plains of the Central Serengeti. This region becomes vital in December as pregnant wildebeest females gather in large numbers, preparing for the upcoming calving season. Witness massive herds spread across the plains, grazing intensively on nutrient rich grass. Predators such as lions and hyenas remain close, anticipating vulnerable prey.
