Airport reception, Great Rift Valley transit & Karatu highlands relaxation
Upon arrival at Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Karatu, a beautiful highland town located on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey passes through the Great Rift Valley, coffee plantations, rural villages, and volcanic landscapes that introduce you to northern Tanzania’s safari region. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge or explore short Karatu attractions such as local markets and coffee farms. Karatu serves as the main gateway to Ngorongoro and Serengeti, offering a peaceful start to your safari adventure.

Crater viewpoint stop, Ngorongoro highlands transit & Central Serengeti game drive
After breakfast, travel toward Serengeti National Park passing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop at the crater viewpoint for breathtaking scenery. Continue through highlands and wildlife corridors into Central Serengeti, a world famous ecosystem known for endless plains and high predator density. Game viewing begins en route as wildlife gradually increases across the savannah. Lunch is enjoyed during lunchtime in a scenic location before continuing safari and arriving at camp for dinner and overnight stay.
