Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your Arusha accommodation for a half-day exploration of Tanzania's safari capital. Continue to the Natural History Museum housed in the former German school building, offering fascinating exhibits on human evolution and Tanzanian culture.
Explore the lively Central Market to experience daily local life, with stalls overflowing with fresh tropical fruits, vegetables, and spices. After an early breakfast, depart Arusha for the 2-3 hour drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its stunning baobab-dotted landscapes and the life-giving Tarangire River. Upon arrival, begin a full-day game drive through acacia woodlands and open savannah, searching for the park's famous elephant herds, often numbering in the hundreds.
