Day 1 Dar es Salaam to Nyerere & Afternoon Game Drive

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from Dar Es Salaam International Airport or your Dar es Salaam hotel by your BMC TOURS & SAFARI guide. The scenic 3-5 hours drive takes you through rural landscapes and local villages to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, you'll check into your lodge and enjoy a hot lunch before heading out for your first game drive.

Explore the park's diverse terrain—open savannahs, miombo woodlands, and wetlands teeming with wildlife. Spot elephants grazing, giraffes browsing acacia trees, zebras and wildebeests in herds, and perhaps lions resting in the shade. As the sun begins to set, return to your lodge for dinner, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Wake early for breakfast before embarking on a memorable boat safari along the Rufiji River, Tanzania's largest and longest waterway. Drift silently past riverbanks lined with crocodiles basking in the morning sun and pods of hippos surfacing for air.
