Full Itinerary
Coastal Scenic Drive, Coastal Savannah Game Drive & Indian Ocean Sunset
Your safari begins with a warm welcome from your BMC TOURS & SAFARI guide at your Dar es Salaam hotel or the airport. Depart on a scenic drive of approximately 4 hours through coastal villages and palm-fringed roads, offering glimpses of traditional life along the way. Upon arrival at your lodge near the park, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch with Indian Ocean views.
In the late afternoon, set off on your first game drive across Saadani's coastal savannahs and acacia woodlands. Watch for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, and perhaps lions from the famous Bab's Camp pride. As the sun begins to dip, witness the magical sight of wildlife against the ocean backdrop before returning to your lodge for dinner.
Overnight at Simply Saadani Camp
Wami River Hippo & Crocodile Cruise, Shell Collecting & Beach Swimming
After a relaxed breakfast at your lodge, drive to the Wami River for a peaceful boat safari—one of Saadani's signature experiences. Glide silently along the river channels as your guide points out pods of hippos wallowing in the shallows, crocodiles basking on sandbanks, and colorful kingfishers diving for fish.
After the boat safari, return to your lodge for lunch and free time to enjoy Saadani's pristine beach. Swim in the warm Indian Ocean, walk along palm-fringed shores collecting shells, or simply relax in a shaded spot. In the late afternoon, enjoy an optional sunset game drive before dinner at the lodge.

Wake to the soft light of dawn and choose your final Saadani adventure. Opt for an early morning game drive when animals are most active, or join a guided nature walk along the beach or through the coastal forest with an experienced ranger. Walking offers a unique perspective to track footprints and discover medicinal flora.
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and time to refresh. Begin your scenic drive back to Dar es Salaam with a packed lunch provided for the journey. Arrive in the late afternoon with flexible drop-off at your hotel, DAR airport, or the ferry terminal for Zanzibar, concluding your unique beach and bush retreat.
